Refrigerator
Refrigerator Systems and Mechanism:
The Refrigerator is a vary necessary current in tody is society. There is no place where the refrigerator is not used. Domestic, shop, office, restaurant, hotel, drug store, fast food shop, super shop, storage etc.
The domestic refrigerator system consists of a single housing in which the motor and Compressor are sealed withe leak proof joints.
Domestic refrigerators and freezers may be grouped according to the following general classifications
- All of the joints are silver brazed or welded and there are no service valves.
- Some of the joints are mechanical and there are no service valves.
- All the joints are silver brazed
- Some of the joints are mechanical and there are service valves.
- Combination of the above four general types.
Refrigerator Equipments :
- Compressor
- Condenser
- Capillary tube
- Low temperature evaporator coil
- High humidity evaporator coil
- Accumulator
Frozen food coil refrigerators normal storage cabinet.
Typical Refrigerator Cycles:
Most condensing units are located in the bottom of the cabinet. They are hermetically sealed and use a split phase motor connected to either a reciprocal or rotary compressor. The condenser is either a natural convection type, called a static condenser or forced convection type. The refrigerant control is usually a capillary tube. The evaporator is commonly made of Aluminium or stainless steel and provides considerable volume and shelf space for frozen food storage, ice cube making, and cooling the Refrigerator cabinet.
The refrigerant line are usually silver brazed in place and the complete unit is designed to be removed in one piece, usually from the back of the cabinet. The electrical system on some units consists of a starting relay, several protective devices, a temperature meter control, Automatic defrosting mechanism, door switch and various heater coils.
Various methods have been developed to provide two deferent temperatures required in refrigerators

Various methods have been developed to provide two deferent temperatures required in refrigerators
- The Frozen foods temperatures. The frozen foods compartment temperature must be maintained at 5° degrees centigrade or below.
- The refrigerated comportment temperature which must not fall below 32 ° F. Usually maintained between 35 ° F and 45° F. If many foods would freeze.
Some methods of obtaining controlled temperatures in each compartment are
- Air spill over using one evaporator.
- Refrigerant spill over using two evaporators.
- Two complete and independent refrigerating mechanism.
- Secondary refrigerant system in which a secondary refrigerant in a closed system picks up heat in the refrigerator cabinet and transfers it to the freezing comportment coil.
- Two temperature valve operating on the refrigerator highest temperatures coil.
- Forced convection type evaporator using a fun to circulate the cooled air in both the freezer compartment and the food.
- Forced convection type evaporator using independent fans to circulate the cooled air for each compartment.

One is normal and one is freezer compartment.
A refrigerator cycle with the fresh foods cold plate and the frozen foods evaporator connected in series. The main refrigerant control is a capillary tube. The refrigerant is fed to the fresh foods coil first. The pressure in this coil is kept higher than the pressure in the frozen foods coil by the resistance of the restrictor. The accumulator is the suction line, the condenser and the discharge line for the compressor. A special condenser is located near the compressor to remove heat from the compressor oil.
